Kapow Comic Con London!

Been there, seen it, was looking forward to it… and now a bit disappointed. :(

Last year’s con was an event! It was something new exciting and you could feel the love of comic book fans, and most importantly artists around. Inspiration was flowing in the air, a place to get some contacts, learn something, meet with great people!

This year? It wasn’t like that. I don’t know what’s happened, and seriously couldn’t put my finger on the problem. Everything was less compared to last year’s con. I mean there was more costumes, and more geeky but less art. More mainstream, less special. There were artists this year too, and yes you could meet with inspiring people but many of last year’s panels were missing. Hm. Maybe it’s just me. Maybe it was a good one and I was just in a silly mood. Only people know who have been there.

Anyway there is something Comic related I did on last year’s Con: The Joker!

Swen “old picture” special edition. Hope you like it!

Luna is the final piece was made to be exhibited on my gallery show “Nobody likes us”.
It was really tough because I had this image in my mind of a moth one of the most beautiful creatures on our planet, but my own design and I had just a week to go before the exhibition. And then the framing. But I made it eventually, I had my fun and Luna was born enjoying the gaze of many eyes of the exhibition.

One of the key pieces I exhibited at “Nobody likes us”. It received a great response and I was very happy since it is a very personal piece. I love her… but I let her fly.

Three days to go ladies and gentlemen!

Three days to go ladies and gentlemen!

A little something for Sunday evening. A Yokai design.
I have a serious admiration of the Japanese culture, and legends. This time a Yokai. A yokai is a monstrous spirit with often one or no eye at all. (Evil ones don’t have eyes, because they don’t posses soul in other cultures as well.) Their face is usually covered with hair, or cloth. Samara from “The ring”, or the spirit from “The grudge” sure rings a bell. The challenge this time was to give a yokai the Entenn treatment and give it a new look. I’m very much hoping it appeals to you my friends! Leave the lights on when you go to sleep!
